ABOUT CHRISTINE
Christine was born and raised in Dunrobin Ontario, a small town outside of Ottawa. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree with honors in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario in London. Shortly thereafter she obtained a dual Diploma in both Massage Therapy and Sports Injury Therapy after completing 3000 hours in study and practicum. Along with being a Certified Kinesiologist Christine has taken the Active Release courses for both upper and lower body, she is a Graston Provider and uses Dynamic Cupping in her practice.
Christine has been successfully practicing Massage Therapy for 18 years and she specializes in the active individual from Olympic level to the weekend warrior. She has tailored her practice to really focus on what she provides the patient off the table. Her patients always walk away with some form of rehabilitation exercises, whether it be stretching, strengthening, rolling techniques or just tidbits of information of what to do versus what not to do. Over years of practice, and rehabilitation of her own injuries, she has learned so much about the rehabilitation process and feels that as an RMT it is something that sets her aside from her colleagues. Hence forth, her series of Sports Injury Rehabilitation courses where you will learn cueing, gain confidence, proper education to ensure correct execution and most of all, a way for you to stand out from your colleagues and find your niche in an overwhelmed market.
Christine started enduraHEALTH in 2011 and has enjoyed every minute of running a business and working with amazing athletes. She has become heavily involved in the running and triathlon community in Calgary. Not only does she support the active community by providing post-race treatments at races and doing seminars for athletes but she has completed two Ironman's and has done multiple marathons. She has worked with Olympic and professional level athletes to collegiate and recreational level athletes.
Christine's treatment philosophy is to find the source of the problem as opposed to treating the symptoms and to educate the athlete on how to prevent injury. She enjoys working with the active individual who is eager to get healthy and stay healthy!
