About Rae
As an avid runner, Rae Laberge knows something about head starts. And an impulse decision made as a Grade 11 student has given Rae another kind of head start: she chose to fill one of her high school option blocks by enrolling in SAIT’s Dual-Credit Pharmacy Assistant program. By the time Rae graduated simultaneously from St. Francis High School and SAIT, she had earned a high school diploma, a Pharmacy Technician — Retail certificate and an insatiable desire to learn everything about the human body’s inner workings.
For the next seven years — while working at the same COSTCO pharmacy where she did her SAIT internship —LaBerge continued her education by studying holistic nutrition, Orthopaedic Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at the Canadian Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine. She also rounds out her offerings with diplomas in Holistic Nutrition and Reiki Levels 1 & 2 from The Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. |
Dr. Rae works from a strong belief that we can all live our optimum potential, free of pain, illness and injury when we bring the body back into balance with its own essential rhythms. She is passionate about prevention, and works with each individual to discover the root cause of imbalances or symptoms, so that health, wellness, and function can be restored by treating the cause, instead of merely the symptoms.
She is an avid runner and member for Calgary’s free fitness community and outside of her practice she be found logging miles on YYC’s pathways, exploring new mountain-tops, Co-leading free group fitness or creating new, delicious and healthy recipes to share with family and friends.
From hormonal imbalances to sports injuries, Dr. Rae bridges the gap between natural and modern medicine, combining Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, IMS, Cupping, Nutritional, Herbal and lifestyle counselling to achieve balance, optimum performance and well being in all her patients.
