What to expect in a treatment with Christine?
A treatment with Christine is deep and aggressive but you also walk away feeling refreshed and relaxed. She uses a lot of her elbows and fists to ensure deep pressure all the while following principles of massage to ensure that you are not too sore in the days following. Depending on your needs she may incorporate the following techniques:
- Deep Tissue Sports Massage
- Active Release Therapy
- Dynamic Cupping
- Graston
- Therapeutic Massage
About Christine
Christine was born and raised in Dunrobin Ontario, a small town outside of Ottawa. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree with honors in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario in London. Shortly thereafter she obtained a dual Diploma in both Massage Therapy and Sports Injury Therapy after completing 3000 hours in study and practicum. Along with being a Certified Kinesiologist Christine has taken the Active Release courses for both upper and lower body, she is a Graston Provider and uses Dynamic Cupping in her practice.
Christine started enduraHEALTH in 2011 and has enjoyed every minute of running a business and working with amazing athletes. She has become heavily involved in the running and triathlon community in Calgary. Not only does she support the active community by providing post-race treatments at races and doing seminars for athletes but she has completed two Ironman's and has done multiple marathons. She has worked with Olympic and professional level athletes to collegiate and recreational level athletes.
Christine's treatment philosophy is to find the source of the problem as opposed to treating the symptoms and to educate the athlete on how to prevent injury. She enjoys working with the active individual who is eager to get healthy and stay healthy!
